Serena is a legal technology and e-discovery consultant. She is a founder and director of Bizibody Technology and Litigation Edge.
Prior to founding Bizibody Technlogy and embarking on a career as a legal technologist in 2000, Serena practiced as a lawyer for 11 years in KhattarWong, Singapore and Hong Kong. Under her stewardship, Bizibody Technology has played a defining role in bringing affordable technology solutions to law firms in Singapore and Malaysia. Today, Bizibody Technology is the leading legal technology and practice management consultancy in Singapore.
Since the passing of PD3 of 2009 (the “E-Discovery PD”), Serena has been conducting e-discovery empowerment and litigation automation workshops for lawyers, litigation managers and paralegals, and corporate counsels. Serena has also been engaged by law firms as an e-discovery consultant in litigation matters involving PD3 of 2009.
In January 2011, Serena started Litigation Edge to enlarge the focus from e-discovery education and consultancy, to provide a fuller range of e-discovery and litigation services and technology.
Serena also works closely with the Singapore Academy of Law, the Courts and, Law Society on industry wide technology projects. Her notable legal technology projects include Justice Online, Openlaw, the Supreme Court’s IELS (Integrated Electronic Litigation System) project and the Law Society’s PrimeLaw.
